I will eventually paint his walls but at least they work for now. Recognize the red shelves Nick? Obviously I also need to teach Moses to make his bed!
It is good and bad for me to see all this-- I am thankful I am able to picture your house now, and yet sad that I won't walk through it once or twice a week!:)
Moses is about to grow out of his toddler bed. I know Sara has her bunk beds. What are you planning to do for Jonas, Beth? I was thinking maybe a trundle bed if i found one super cheap. i don't know. I found a cheap toybox since this picture was taken. It has a really ugly upholstered bench, but once i re-cover it, it will be perfect.
We are planning to build a bunk bed. We really like the IKEA bed for kids that is low with sides all the way around that probably come to chest level. The bottom matress is on the floor. For now we'd make the underneath space a play area. There's also a neat canopy attachment on the IKEA bed. So, we think we could try to build something similar. Depending on the gender of this baby and the space in our next house we'll decide if we need the bottom bed now or not. I think my dad is coming up with my mom this time when the baby is born and maybe he'll build it then.
Take a before and after pic of the toybox! That will be a good post!

The red bookshelf looks good in there.
The red shelves do look great in there! What does Moses do with all the space? :) Obviously you need to teach me how to make my bed!

It works quite well for now - I'm anxious to see what it looks like when it is exactly what you want. My white walls feel a little institutional!
